Eucharist

Definition

Old Catholics recognize the sacrament of the altar but interpret the Eucharist as commemorating Christ’s atoning sacrifice, without explicit transubstantiation; the Utrecht Declaration shows a synthesis of Catholic and Zwinglian tendencies.
