Docetism

Definition

From δοκέω, ‘to seem’ — the denial of the real consubstantiality of Christ’s human nature with the human race; not a distinct religious system but a line of thought characteristic of Gnosticism, recurring in Manichaeism, Apollinarianism, Eutychianism, Aphthartodocetism and some Protestant doctrines.
