Definition
The 2000 document holds, on one hand, that the Orthodox Church is the only confession identical to the Creed’s one holy conciliar and apostolic Church, and on the other recognizes a relative ecclesiasticity in non-Orthodox Churches ‘in as much as they have preserved the heritage of the ancient Church’.
