Totemism
Definition
Belief in a supernatural communion and kinship between a clan or ethnic group and a particular animal, plant, or natural force; among Australian aborigines, every person receives an ‘Ancestor’s’ soul which determines totemic clan membership, so that all members of the clan form a single whole.
