Samsara
Definition
‘Wandering, journey’ — the cycle of transmigration, first clearly formulated in the Brahmanas; possibly a legacy of the proto-Indian civilization (notably absent in Iran). Once karma is seen as universal conditionality, the blessed afterlife won by ritual must end, and the soul must be reincarnated again.
