Dharmas
Definition
Individualized, atomic events that make up the experience of living beings and constitute the process of existence. They are not essences and not atoms in the Indian philosophical sense: they are changeable, impermanent and momentary, existing only as arising followed by disappearance. The doctrine of momentariness holds that each dharma exists for one infinitesimal moment and is replaced by a new dharma causally conditioned by the previous one. Lists vary: seventy-five in Sarvastivada, one hundred in Yogacara.
