Chiliasm
Definition
From χίλιοι — a thousand. The early-church belief in two separate temporal resurrections, with the righteous reigning with Christ for a thousand years enjoying spiritual and sensual goods, followed by the resurrection and judgment of sinners. Judaizing chiliasts also expected the restoration of the Jerusalem temple and Old Testament sacrifices. Condemned together with Apollinarius at the Second Ecumenical Council.
