Apollinarism

Definition

The teaching of Apollinarius of Laodicea that in Christ the Logos took flesh animated by an irrational soul and himself took the place of the human νοῦς-πνεῦμα, so that Christ’s humanity is real but incomplete, and the one Christ is a composite nature of full Deity and defective humanity.
